“X-Men: Apocalypse” won’t feature Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, the old versions of Professor X and Magneto, but it has just added 3 new members to the already impressive cast. The young Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops have been cast and confirmed, Vulture says.

The second installment in the rebooted “X-Men” franchise, “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” managed to pull off the impressive feat of bringing together (in a sense) the members of the new and of the original cast, thanks to a time traveling subplot.

Thus, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence shared the screen with Stewart, McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and Anna Paquin. A couple of days ago, Stewart confirmed that the mutants would return to the ‘80s for the third installment, because he hadn’t been called back on set.

So, “X-Men: Apocalypse” will take place between the first installment and the reboot, “X-Men: First Class,” and will star the younger actors and Oscar Isaac, who plays the villain. Joining them will be Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops.

Alexandra Shipp was more recently seen in the Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime as the titular character, but it’s the casting of Sophie Turner that got the most attention because of the popularity she earned for playing Sansa Stark on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” will open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
