The latest edition of X Factor introduced audiences to Chloe Victoria, also known as Chloe Mafia, a 19-year-old mother of one, who was allowed through to the next round – but she may be using the exposure to sell herself.
Though she failed to impress with her singing during auditions (see video of Chloe’s performance at the end of the article), she was allowed through to the next round because she seemed to inspire something in the judges.
Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, for one, told Chloe she believed there was more to her than her heavy makeup and obvious tasteless outfit, so she voted “Yes.”
Simon Cowell, who seemed the least convinced of all, said that he too believed the girl had potential, so he voted “Yes” as well – a decision he may soon regret, PopDash informs.
Reports in the British media claim Chloe is actually working as an escort and has been using her time on the show to boost her regular rates.
Even more, she’s actually been leaving the boot camp to work, sources say. News of the World even got an undercover reporter to get her to confess, which has already sent Cowell in a frenzy.
Apparently, Chloe is now charging about £1,000 a night on the basis of her newfound fame – and she’s even bragging about it. Cowell and X Factor producers have already been informed of this and her future on the show may be in jeopardy as we speak.
“Simon will give anyone a chance in the show and he has been really supportive of Chloe but he made it clear this was all to stop during the show,” PopDash quotes an inside source as saying.
Since she didn’t stop selling herself while on boot camp, Cowell will most likely ask her to leave now – and will have producers take her out if she refuses to go without a fuss.
“He was livid at finding out this may not have been the case at Boot Camp. He’d never rule someone out for their past, but Boot Camp is meant to be about everyone focusing completely,” the same source says.
“Simon felt sorry for Chloe at first. But sympathy can wear thin if someone doesn’t appreciate it. You can expect a major showdown,” adds the spy.
Below is Chloe’s audition for the show. Compared to what audiences saw these past weeks, she certainly doesn’t rise to the bar – but that’s up to the judges to decide in this stage of the competition.
