“Clash of the Titans” proved to be a huge disappointment despite the stellar cast and plenty of positive pre-release hype. The sequel to it, “Wrath of the Titans,” promises to make it up to fans for all that.

The first official trailer for the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film, starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes among others, is finally here.

The story picks up after the events in “Clash,” with Perseus, having already saved Earth before, called to arms once more. He is, of course, the reluctant hero.

The trailer, set on Marilyn Manson's “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” is packed with action scenes, while also showing glimpses of the challenges Perseus will be facing next.

Indeed, FX seem more promising than in the first film, which can only make us hope the same will apply for 3D: the biggest gripe with “Clash of the Titans” was that 3D was added in post-conversion and was entirely unconvincing.

“Wrath of the Titans” will be out in theaters on March 30, 2012. Check out the trailer above to see if it tickles your fancy – and do let us know if you like Perseus' new hair.
