Between Steve-O battling back problems and Gilles Marini suffering from a separated shoulder, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is just one of several contestants injured during dance rehearsals for the popular American TV show, Dancing with the Stars.

As reported by most US publications, the Apple co-founder now has a slight fracture in his foot, but he vows to continue dancing. We dare note that Steve's determination is impressive to say the least, given the judges' rulings after his Cha Cha Cha, while his Facebook support group barely numbers 2,000.

“I didn’t want to worry anyone unduly,” The Woz wrote on his blog. The Apple co-founder had been feeling pain in his foot after rehearsal, and after having an X-Ray and an MRI, it was revealed that he had a foot fracture.

Professional dance partner, Karina Smirnoff, accompanied Woz to Cedars-Sinai hospital, worried that she had lost him as partner on the popular TV show. However, to the couple's delight, Wozniak was given a removable cast and the okay to dance as long as he takes it off only when absolutely necessary. Woz is to wear the cast when not rehearsing or performing. Wozniak told his doctors he was determined to continue with the show, as revealed in an e-mail to his Facebook Support Group. In the message, he sincerely declares that he “loves being part of such a good and important thing.”

Woz previously stated (live even) that he was filled with joy just to be on the show. “This is the most incredible fun thing I've ever done, and it's so great! I'm so glad to be here!” he told a hostess after being “judged” for his first, rather clumsy, but otherwise truly alive performance.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for Steve, and we hope he makes it to the end. Just like Judge Carrie Ann (the only one truly impressed with Steve's approach), we too think Woz is what this competition is all about. And while the judges have a say in the dancers' progress, it's the votes that count the most. So, vote for Steve!
