Califonia-based wireless company Amped Wireless is now introducing the world’s most powerful and long range indoor WiFi router, on its official website. It’s called R20000G High Power Wireless-N Gigabit Dual Band Router and comes with 600mW signal amplification in the 2400GHz range.

The R20000G is a dual band router that is able to power two different networks: one in 2400 MHz and one in 5000 MHz frequency.

The company claims that its solution is able to successfully power an indoor wireless network with an area of up to 10.000 square feet. That would translate to about 930 square meters. That’s not bad, but it's also not too impressive.

On the 2.4 GHz range, the R20000G comes with dual 600mW amplifiers, but on the 5 GHz range no amplification power is mentioned in the official specifications.

There are two high-gain 5dBi antennas that fortunately can be removed, as there are many 10 dBi antennas available for good prices and they can surely improve the signal.

The official main features are:

Dual high power 2.4Ghz 600mW amplifiers, dual high power 5.0GHz amplifiers and dual low noise amplifiers for improving wireless reception

Dual High Gain 5dBi detachable dual band antennas

High speed 620MHz internal processor for faster networking

Simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz dual band 802.11n technology

There is also a USB 2.0 port available, but the manufacturer says it’s for sharing files among connected users and there is no mention about printer support.

The four R45 LAN  ports along with the WAN port are all 10/100/1000.

All this comes at the price of 179.99 USD. That would be around 140 EUR for the European wireless enthusiast.
