14 DAY TRIAL // She’s long been dubbed the most beautiful woman in the world and she’s now about to become the world’s most beautiful mother. Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai is expecting her first child at 37, it has emerged.
Word of this doesn’t come from the proud and happy mom and father to be, Aishwarya and husband Abhishek Bachchan, but from the grandfather to be, Bachchan’s father, JustJared reports.
“Indian actress Aishwarya Rai and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, are expecting their first child together!” the e-zine writes.
The news broke on Twitter, where Aishwarya’s father in law gushed about being thrilled by becoming a granddad soon.
“T 410 -NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!” Amitabh Bachchan, who is an actor himself, tweeted.
“This is the first child for Aishwarya, 37, and Abhishek, 35. The couple married back in 2007,” JustJared notes.
Though she’s one of the most photographed women in the world whenever she makes a public appearance, precisely for the above-mentioned reason, that she’s considered the most beautiful, Aishwarya somehow managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps.
As the aforementioned e-zine also notes, earlier this month, the Bollywood actress came out for the 162nd Prix de Diane horse race, wearing an Elie Saab gown that could have easily occulted from view any hint of a baby bump.
The actress also seemed a bit curvier than she normally is, which would confirm the pregnancy, commenters online point out.
As it happens, Aishwarya has not yet addressed reports of being pregnant for the first time just yet but, if the above is accurate and her father in law is not just pulling a fast one on her fans, she is believed to do so soon.
