Netgear has launched world’s first wireless-enabled ADSL2+ modem router based on the new draft 802.11n specification, a device which combines five others in just one.

The RangeMax NEXT Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router (DG834N) amasses five products into one, merging the benefits of an ADSL 2+ modem, router, four-port 10/100 switch, and a SPI double firewall with Netgear's draft 11n-compliant RangeMax NEXT wireless LAN technology in order to deliver one of the fastest data throughput speeds.

"Netgear has again proven itself an innovator by becoming the first vendor to ship a wireless-enabled ADSL2+ router that incorporates the
performance benefits delivered by the draft 11n specification. This all-in-one product enables users to create a network infrastructure suitable for the growing variety of bandwidth-intensive applications in the home and office," stated Prasad Shroff, product line manager at Netgear.

RangeMax NEXT Wireless ADSL+2 Modem Router DG834N is the latest product added to Netgear's series of draft 802.11n-compliant wireless networking products such as RangeMax NEXT Wireless Router Gigabit Edition with 10/100/1000 Switch (WNR854T) and Notebook Adapter Gigabit Edition (WN511T) or RangeMax NEXT Wireless Router with 10/100 Switch (WNR834B) and RangeMax NEXT Wireless Notebook Adapter (WN511B).

As the RangeMax NEXT Wireless ADSL+2 Modem Router is a multifunctional wireless and wired networking solution designed for family use or small businesses, it enables all the users to benefit from a high-speed connectivity to Internet, but also to network resources.

The user can utilize the wireless modem router for all kinds of applications such as high-definition video streaming, music downloads or even Internet gaming because DG834N features special technologies - Intensi-fi Wi-Fi and Broadcom’s service provider qualified ADSL2+ - and a draft 802.11n-compliant wireless access point.

"The availability of the DG834N takes the impressive wireless performance of the 270Mbps RangeMax NEXT wireless router and adds another level of flexibility, functionality and performance by incorporating an ADSL2+ modem, which is capable of Broadband Internet data transfer rates of up to 24 Mbps. The RangeMax NEXT Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router is the ultimate all-in-one, high-performance wired and wireless networking solution for the digital home," Shroff added.

Netgear RangeMax NEXT Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router (DG834N) comes with a two-year warranty, 24/7 technical support, and it can be purchased at a suggested price of $299.
