14 DAY TRIAL // Any power supply unit of over 1000W is considered high-end, and any PSU of over 1400W or more usually comes across as overkill, but there is always room for better. SuperFlower decided to be the first to reach the next milestone.
Thus, the new PSU from Super Flower has an output of 2000W, enough to fuel not just one but two computers at the same time.
There aren't enough cables for that of course, since this product wasn't designed for dual-PC systems, and most of those use two PSUs anyway.
Still, the sheer power that the newcomer can put out is massive, and while the lone 20+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V cable can't even come close to using all of it, the CPU and PCI Express cables are another matter.
The 2000W Super Flower PSU
The product was created in collaboration with an overclocker by the name of Ian "8Pack" Parry and has an efficiency of up to 94%, hence the 80 Plus Platinum rating (92%, 94%, 90% efficiency at 20%, 50%, and 100% load).
It makes us wonder how long it will be before someone or other launches a 2000W PSU with 80 Plus Titanium efficiency (96%).
This is a 100% modular PSU, meaning that not even the aforementioned ATX cable is directly soldered to the inner PCB.
All the standard protections are in place of course: Over Voltage, Over Current, Over Power, Short Circuit and Under Voltage.
Moreover, multi-GPU setups are easily supported (AMD CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI), thanks to the nine 6+2 PCI Express power ports and five 6-pin power connectors.
Speaking of which, there are eighteen SATA cables as well, plus four 4-pin MOLEX. Two floppy cables and, of course, the 8-Pin EPS12V and 4+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V cables.
The PSU is cooled by a 140 mm DBB fan overseen by an ECO intelligent thermal control system. Finally, full Japanese 105°C capacitors provide the single-rail PSU with high enough endurance and stability to justify a 5-year warranty.

The 2000W Super Flower 80 Plus Platinum PSU has a price of €370 / $418 and chips with an all-black paint job.
