Normally, I wouldn't be that quick to assume that a product is the best just because a company claims it is, but in this case I'll admit that Mushkin's claims could very well be true.

After all, its new Ventura Ultra USB flash drive has data transfer rates of 380 MB/s when reading and 325 MB/s when writing.

That's more than I could have expected. Not really the same as 5 Gbps, sure, but then again no USB 3.0 devices actually reach that potential maximum.

And to actually make that speed worthwhile, Mushkin also gave the newcomer more storage space than, with a few exceptions, any other flash drive out there: 240 GB.

The transfer rate potential is optimized by USB Attached SCSI Protocol support, something very few other USB flash drives have.

Sales should start on Monday, October 7, 2013, for a price that has yet to be revealed. USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports are, of course, supported.
