Famous mainboard manufacturer, Taiwanese company MicroStar International – also known as MSI – has just announced the availability of the famous GT70 gaming notebook, on its official website. This is the well-known GT70 gaming monster that we reported on here.

MSI’s new gaming GT70 beast is powered by Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 675M mobile GPU coming with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory.

Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 675M mobile GPU is powered by the company’s older Fermi GF114 architecture.

MSI is also shipping their GE series comprised of the new GE60 and GE70 models that we reported on here.

These are more balanced designs that offer better portability and battery life when compared to the heavier and more powerful GT series.

Pricing starts at $1,300 for the GE60, with only $50 more for the 17” GE70.

These laptops use Intel’s HM76 chipset and are coming with Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 660M GPU with just 2GB of GDDR5 memory.

While not being the fastest models available in MSI's line-up, the GE60 and GE70 are the only ones using Nvidia’s new Kepler GPUs, and in European markets they should be priced around €1,050 for the former, and about €1,100 for the latter.

The GT series pricing starts at $1,750 for the lowest model.

This one is still coming with Nvidia’s Fermi-based GTX 675M, but it is only fitted with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory and only comes with a simple 750 GB HDD.

Therefore, the most affordable GT70 version is priced around €1,415 EUR for European gamers. The top two GT70 models are priced at $2,000 and $2,200, respectively.

The more affordable one, if you can call $2,000 affordable, comes with two 2.5” HDD bays fitted with two 750 GB HDDs with 7200 RPM.

Another addition this one has is the 4 GB GeForce GTX 670 video card along with a Blu-ray burner.

The fastest Ivy Bridge laptop in the world is the $2,200 GT70 model that gives up one of the two 2.5” HDD bays for a pair of SSDs, arranged in a RAID 0 array capable of delivering sequential read speeds of aver 900 MB/s.

On top of it all, the fastest GT70 comes with four 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz memory modules and that one more when compared with the other two GT70 models available from MSI that are fitted with a total of 12 GB or DDR3-1600 RAM.

That’s about €1615 EUR and €1780 EUR for the top two MSI GT70 gaming notebooks.
