63-year-old Annette Edwards from Bromsgrove, UK, is the proud owner of the absolute biggest bunny anywhere in the world. No, really, Darius is so big kids could easily ride it.

The rabbit, pictured next to this article together with its owner, Annette, measures 4 feet and 4 inches (approximately 1.3 meters) from head to tail, and its paws are positively humongous.

As explained by DM, bunnies belonging to this oversized species are known as Continental Giants and can easily grow to measure 4 feet (roughly 1.2 meters) in length.

Although they look rather scary, they are actually quite gentle and friendly. Like all other rabbits, they feed on fruit and veggies, their favorites being apples and carrots.

Interestingly, word has it that Darius stands to soon lose its crown as the world's biggest bunny. Thus, Annette Edwards believes its son, Jeff, will end up growing even bigger.

Jeff, pictured below lying in the grass together with its dad, now measures 3 feet and 8 inches (1.1 meters) in length and will continue to grow for another six months.

Darius and son Jeff get along just fine with Annette's pet boxer, Kay, and don't seem to mind the fact that, because of their size, they must live in dog crates.

“They run free in the garden during the day and at night go to sleep in their cosy crates. They never make a mess and actually would be great house rabbits,” Annette insists.
