The development team at Wargaming announces that its World of Warplanes title is set to launch on September 26 of this year in North America and in Europe, with gamers in the Russian speaking world getting access to it one day earlier.

Oleg Gotynyan, a development director of the game, states, “We are extremely thankful for the feedback and data our testers provided to us through both Closed and Open Beta.”

He adds, “we expect it to offer a deep and polished experience to both MMO fans and flight combat enthusiasts alike.”

Close to 3 million players have joined World of Warplanes since the beta was launched and a total of 202 million combat sorties have been launched in virtual form.

When the game is launched, players will have access to more than 100 aircraft models taken from the arsenals of the United States, Germany, Russia, Japan and Britain.
