World of Warcraft players will be pleased to know that patch 6.1, a major one that brings lots of changes and improvements, will soon be deployed to PTR (Public Test Realm). More importantly, the complete list of changes has been released, so those who will test it can learn what new things they'll get.

First of all, Blizzard’s attempt to breathe new life into World of Warcraft continues with patch 6.1. The update contains new anti-aliasing options such as MSAA, SSAA, SSAA + CMAA. Also, Nvidia Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion was added as well.

There's also an interesting new feature that hasn't been detailed by Blizzard for the moment, but it looks like they plan to introduce a new account type, called Veteran Edition, that has similar restrictions to Starter Edition accounts.

This type of account may allow those who just want to try out the game without paying for subscription to play until level 60 or perhaps less. Currently, the Starter Edition account only allows you to play until you reach level 20.

New followers, lots of new missions and visual improvements will be added

According to the changelog, new mounts have been added as well, such as Chauffeured Mechano-Hog, Chauffeured Mekgineer's Chopper, and Voidtalon of the Dark Star.

Three new achievements will be added to the game, including a Loremaster title for Draenor, Treasure Maps rewards for completing a zone's storylines and garrison missions, and a Darkmoon Faire race achievement.

Lots of changes to Garrisons will be made, with more missions being added and new followers. Harrison Jones will be a follower, rewarded for doing Relic Hunter Quests. Archaeology missions will be added and Garrison invasions will eventually go to Platinum rating, up from Gold.

Also, the garrison will be getting a jukebox and players will be able to summon 10 – 40 player bosses in their garrison.

New loading screens, new items and icons are also part of the additions coming with patch 6.1. For the full list of changes, head over to the original thread.
