With talk about precious few invitations to the upcoming WoW expansion closed beta test, time has come for Blizzard to unveil the content of the premium pack, namely the World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition. With over 7 million subscribers and a huge addicted fan base, the franchise will have no problems in selling out the said packages in a matter of weeks. Loaded with fat loot, the oversized box is wickedly good looking and far from lacking value.

Therein can be found both CD and DVD versions
of the game, along with a behind the scenes DVD, introducing two hours of dev team interviews along with "the making of" documentary piece. This epitome of WoW goodness wouldn't be the same without two WoW trading game starter packs, boosted by cards unique to this release only. Although you won't get the glossy Outland map to hang on your walls with great pride and joy, Blizzard is offering a mouse pad version to keep you from incessantly clicking "M" all the time. Also included in the Collector's Edition is a hardcover coffee table book which will delight your sight with exclusive expansion concept art. Last but not least we have a traditional Collector's Edition exclusive that became a Blizzard trademark; yet another in-game pet, none other than a Netherwhelp, the mighty nether drake flying mount offspring. All that's missing from this goodie bag is a fully equipped tier 3 Blood Elf Paladinette.

Blizzard doesn't yet have a release price announced: "Further details on the contents, as well as pricing and availability info, will be announced at a later date." The original WoW Collector's Edition was available in very limited quantities for $79.99. Unfortunately they all went out of print for nearly two years, in a time when the title was nowhere near as successful as it is now. It is expected World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expansion pack will feature similar pricing. Sealed copies of the original Collector's Edition currently go as high as $300 on eBay, so be sure to get your copy as soon as it hits retail.
