The development team at Blizzard announces that the coming patch 5.3 for the MMO World of Warcraft will include four new scenarios for gamers to explore and a new Heroic Mode designed to deliver Valor Points and better loot.

Two of the added scenarios are part of the Battlefield Barrens story section, called Blood in the Snow and Dark Heart of Pandaria.

The other two included in patch 5.3 are Secrets of Ragefire and Battle on the High Seas.

Heroic Mode is available for all of them and will ask World of Warcraft players who want to get in to have an item level of at least 480 and friends who are willing to take part.

The team states, "It’s important to note that you’ll only be able to earn bonus Valor within Normal or Heroic, but not within both on the same day. Random Heroic Scenarios will reward a Heroic Cache of Treasure and 120 Valor Points for successful completion of the instance."
