Gamers who still play World of Warcraft might be interested in the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion because of its new content and updates to the skills and abilities of classes, but Blizzard is also interested in showing how the graphical quality of the game is improving.

Chris Robinson, the art director working on the MMO, uses a new blog to reveal the updated look for the human male model.

He states, “our goal here was to honor the silhouette and style of the original, while increasing fidelity and fixing some of the big issues we’d identified. The male Human has long been a source of criticism from some of you for his odd proportions and face geometry.”

The new Warlords of Draenor model should respect the initial design while also eliminating the biggest issues that the player community has been reporting.

Robinson also says that a number of in-progress models for other races will soon be added to the beta stage of the expansion, allowing fans who are testing the game to offer their feedback and Blizzard a chance to improve them.

Warlords of Draenor for World of Warcraft will be launched before the end of the year and allows gamers to explore the Outland and set up guild specific buildings.
