The upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion will come with enhanced character models

Blizzard Entertainment has released another sneak peek at the upcoming revised playable character models in the Warlords of Draenor expansion, headed to its massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft at the end of the year.

Chris Robinson is ready with another character model overhaul update on the Battle.net blog, this time around talking about the much-needed revamp of the Trolls. The Trolls have been considered the ugliest race in WoW for a long time, even less appealing than the undead Forsaken, which is saying much.

They're the focus of the art team right now, and the blog entry shows both genders together, in order to deliver a more cohesive overview of the changes coming to the character models, mainly better proportions and many, many more polygons.

The updated models will have much more expressive and realistic faces, allowing for a more meaningful online interaction when the Warlords of Draenor expansion drops.

Robinson, Blizzard Entertainment's senior art director, says that the most difficult part of recreating the Trolls was animating their lips around their massive tusks, but that the team got everything down perfectly for Troll players to enjoy soon.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the expansion's launch date and cinematic tomorrow. Once you go Troll, you never reroll...
