Holiday Season is upon us and game developers hurry to provide their fans with some new content or updates before they leave their offices for some well-deserved time off.

As such, the folks over at Wargaming have just announced the release of the last major update for World Of Tanks for 2014. Before the end of the year, the MMO is getting a huge update that brings lots of new features and improvements, along with new content in the form of vehicles and maps.

Update 9.5 is now available for download to all World of Tanks players, but before getting it you might want to read further to find out what you’ll be receiving. First of all, there’s a new branch of British vehicles. Not just a few, but a lot.

Here is the complete list of new vehicles that will be added via update 9.5: M2 (tier II light tank), Stuart I (tier III light tank), Grant I (tier IV medium tank), Sherman III (tier V medium tank), Archer (tier V tank destroyer), Sherman Firefly (tier VI medium tank), Achilles IIC (tier VI tank destroyer), Challenger/Avenger (tier VII tank destroyer), Charioteer (tier VIII tank destroyer), FV4004 Conway (tier IX tank destroyer) and FV4005 Stage 2 (tier X tank destroyer).

Moreover, developers also added a new premium vehicle, the Panther mit 8.8 cm L/71. This one is available through the Premium Shop.

Players will now receive XP for spotting higher tier tanks

But this is not all. Three new maps have been added to World of Tanks: Mittengard (for lower battle levels), Ghost Town (for Team Battles) and Winterberg.

The minimap features have been expanded as well, so players can now view vector, sector of fire (artillery only), display of vehicle names, and display of point where vehicle was last spotted.

According to developers, update 9.5 also brings come gameplay changes. For example, players will now receive additional XP for damage caused to vehicles spotted by them, if the spotted vehicle is of higher tier than the player’s vehicle. These players will receive +10% for each tier of difference between the vehicles, but not more than 30%.

The warning for inaction in battle will now be given only after three violations in a row rather than immediately fine the player. After update 9.5, the fine will be imposed to a player only after the 4th violation.

Lots of graphics and sound fixes have also been included in the update, along with several changes to vehicle characteristic. Below you can find the full changelog for update 9.5 for World of Tanks.
