World of Speed, the upcoming massively multiplayer online racing game from Slightly Mad Studios, is so far setting out to be one of the most visually accurate (and thus impressive) driving simulation games of the year.

Publisher My.com has released a bunch of new screenshots from the upcoming game, further showcasing its dedication to deliver a truly stunning experience.

In case you missed it, the World of Speed E3 2014 trailer offered a glimpse of the game in action and highlighted some of the extensive customization options players will be afforded in Slightly Mad Games' creation.

As in any game, the cars are the personification of the driver, and as such, players will be able to alter everything, from the visual particularities of the cars up to performance tuning, all to better fit the player's style.

The game's creative director, Andy Tudor, has stressed that the upcoming game will be completely free, in spite of its free-to-play moniker, as it will never give its players any gameplay advantages in the form of in-game microtransactions, and everyone will be able to acquire the best cars and mods without having to spend a single penny to do so.

Sign-ups for the approaching beta test of the racing MMO are open, and interested players can register on the World of Speed website.
