The game will be released via Android Market in the near future

2D Boy, the team behind the highly-acclaimed “World of Goo” indie game has just confirmed that is working on an Android version of the game.

Although no exact release date has been disclosed yet, the developers mentioned that the game will be available in the Android Market in the near future, as GooDroid.

According to 2D Boy, the game is in the final stages of testing and will be compatible with both Android phones and tablets.

“World of Goo” is a physics-based game developed by two ex-Electronic Arts employees, Kyle Gabler and Ron Carmel. The main goal is to build large structures using various balls of goo.

A multiplayer mode is also available for players around the world who want to compete for the tallest towers of goo.
