I'll bet that if you're into real-time strategy games you're anxiously waiting for World in Conflict to launch right? Well, we're not going to say that your waiting is over, but the least we can do is treat you to the game's demo, right? Happy are we? Very well then, HERE it is. Read below for a full list of comprehensive details about the game's storyline and features.

First things first - what good are a game's impressive features if the setting and storyline don't leave a mark, right? Well, as most of you probably already know, World in Conflict presents an authentic Cold War scenario created by talented writer, Larry Bond. In the game, it is the year 1989, and the Soviets, fearing certain collapse, boldly attack Europe. NATO rapidly responds in the same manner only to be met on a second front - a full-fledged invasion of the American homeland.

This is where you, the player, take on the role of field commander, leading the era's most powerful military machines in the campaign to retake America's cities and suburbs. The rest is history, and you're going to make it.

Basic game features include:

Real World Super-Powered Warfare - Unleash the authentic military arsenals of the great military superpowers, such as tanks, planes, trucks, troops and helicopters - as well as nuclear weapons - from the USA, Soviet Union and NATO ■ Action-Focused Gameplay - World in Conflict removes base-building and resource gathering, creating a game that is fast, hard-hitting and focuses on tactical combat - much like an FPS - moving the strategy genre to new category: Action-Strategy ■ Deep Multiplayer - World in Conflict will support up to 16 players for head-to-head and team-based battles in Domination, Tug-of-War and Assault modes ■ Player Roles - Players will play as Infantry, Armor, Support, or Air specialists; multiplayer teams will need to master each role for maximum effectiveness ■ Cutting-Edge Visuals - The latest version of Massive's proprietary Masstech engine utilizes DX10 technology and features advanced lighting and physics effects, and allows for a full 360 degree range of camera control ■ Complete Destructibility - As the battle rages, the world environment pays the price as every object - houses, trees and more - crumbles under the force of war ■ Accessibility - World in Conflict's FPS-like control scheme and 360-degree camera make its action-strategy gameplay accessible to strategy fans and fans of other genres - if you love strategy, you'll love World in Conflict. If you've never played strategy, World in Conflict is the strategy game to try.

The game also features a good scalability, meaning that Massive Entertainment's MassTech engine scales down to accommodate a wide range of PC specifications. Basically, this means that if you've played a somewhat new game within the last two years or so, you'll have no problem with running World in Conflict on your PC.

HERE's the link to downloading the demo again. The full game launches sometime in September this year. Ok then, have fun!
