Brad Pitt is battling armies of zombies in new post-apocalyptic film

As promised earlier this week, the first trailer for Brad Pitt’s much anticipated post-apocalyptic zombie movie, “World War Z,” is here. Check it out in full and in HD above.

With a script that lists Damon Lindelof (“Lost,” “Prometheus”) as contributor, “World War Z” is just one of those projects that seemed to take forever to get off the ground, partly because Brad Pitt produced it and had some budget issues along the way.

At one point, rumors even said that it was “in big trouble” because of the script as well, rumors which seemed to be confirmed when its release was pushed back.

The trailer is out and whatever problems the film initially had seem to be in the past. I still don’t like the computer-generated quality of the army of zombies, obvious at least in 2 particular scenes in the video.

Another con: this trailer plays out like any “Transformers” promo which, depending on how you look at it, might not necessarily be a good thing.

Then again, sometimes, trailers can be misleading like that.

“World War Z” will be out next year.
