Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is getting ready to receive its third full pledged iteration, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but this hasn't stopped its producer, Vincent Pontbriand, from taking about the story of the next title, Assassin's Creed 3.

While new titles in the series were pretty much obvious to appear, gamers are always debating what different stories the next games will have, and where the gameplay will take place.

Before Assassin's Creed 2 appeared, rumors were talking about stories from Japan or France, but, in the end, we were treated with Italy during the Renaissance, and the story of Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Now, the producer of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which continues the story of Ezio, revealed that the next title will take things to a different setting, and talked about the possibility of playing during World War II.

Vincent Pontbriand revealed his team has a few choices lined up, and World War II might be among them.

"We have a couple of options [for AC3]. So far we've tried to take eras that had very important things happen in them that are known worldwide. So WW2 for example - we could have an Assassin's there. It would work.

"So you can draw a list of major events in history during the last 5,000 years and those could be our choices!"

World War II was also rumored last year as a setting for a new Assassin's Creed game, but nothing was officially acknowledged.

"We've had discussions on that very topic. It could be really interesting but we'd need to find the right time period and place for that.

"We don't want to just decide we want to change and have a female hero as the first inspiration is always the time period, but if you're talking about, say, World War II the economies in England and France were run by women because the men were off fighting.

"So maybe in this context you were a woman in England during WWII. Why not? Nothing prevents us from doing it."

Would an Assassin's Creed game make sense with a female protagonist in the Second World War?

* hell no it wouldn't make sense >.<

Top Choices for me are :

1. Japan - Japanese ancestor of Desmond, named Washi. Desmond physically in south america performing assasinations now and will go to eden. Trick to relate Desmond is saved by a rouge assassin from japan that has the mission to stop assassin and templar to make them work together to save earth. Blood Relations to Japanese Ancestry : Descendant of Ezio via girl that moved to Japan same like Altaiir's
2. Mu Similar no solid suggestion
3. fRANCE
4. England? Nah Europe is quite already being repititive with aspect of 3rd crusade something new
5. India, since there are easy twists
6. An 8 Disc AC ^_^ Featuring whole world and an Unknown Ancestor that you can customize by having no data about the person that you could choose following the male DNA or the Female DNA. Stealth would be more harder because guards should be able to recognize you even you're blended you should be able to change appearance better that count to be known as disguise
