Nokia is still expected to reveal more details regarding its next-gen N-Gage mobile gaming platform, but as usual, several rumors that surfaced long before an official announcement revealed most of the details people were interested in.

Also, Glu Mobile went on to announce it's releasing an eight-player multiplayer version of its World Poker Texas Hold'em game which will be the first of several mobile games to run on Nokia's new N-Gage
platform.

Glu's portfolio of top rated games includes titles like K.O. Boxing!, Stranded and Ancient Empires, as well as other titles based on major brands from Atari, Hasbro, Microsoft or PopCap Games.

"We're excited to be part of Nokia's mobile gaming efforts, and are impressed with the offering that Nokia has brought together with its new N-Gage Platform," said Kristian Segerstrale, Managing Director, EMEA, Glu Mobile. "The combination of Nokia's hardware and mobile platform vision and expertise along with Glu's top-rated, quality mobile games will deliver consumers a truly unique, immersive entertainment experience."

"Glu Mobile is one of the driving forces in the mobile gaming industry and we're excited to be working with them to bring premium mobile game experiences to our N-Gage platform," said Gregg Sauter, Director, Games Publishing, Nokia. "Glu's reputation and experience in creating compelling mobile games makes them a natural fit for the N-Gage platform."

Aside from Glu Mobile, Nokia is getting support from quite a few mobile game publishers and has achieved to add quite a few names to the list of firms that will release games for the N-Gage, including Disney, Digital Chocolate, Tecmo, Namcao, Vivendi Games, Sony, Capcom and others.

Nokia has already confirmed that Gameloft and EA Mobile have committed to support the next-gen N-Gage. The mobile phone manufacturer expects to have some of the biggest franchises and hottest mobile games included in the N-Gage by early 2008.
