'The Aristocrats' is, actually, a documentary. But it classifies as one of those of a special kind, forbidden to air on broadcast television, due to the fact that it centers on the retelling of the most dirty joke ever invented by mankind.
So, as a logical consequence, it can be aired only on HBO. For it is the only network channel were bad words and expletives are far from FCC's reach. Remember 'Deadwood'? Well, prepare to see more of that with the new film.
Do not be deceived, it doesn't contain any nudity or sex scenes. But it does feature almost 100 stand-up comedians and writers, from Jason Alexander and Hank Azaria, to Robin Williams and Steven Wright, who all bring their own personal contribution to the joke.

The idea came from the original movie (that offended audiences last year in cinemas), created by magician Penn Jillette and comedian/actor Paul Provenza. They thought of bringing the filthy and yet terribly funny joke to the small screen , thus making what is probably the most vulgar home movie ever and, at the same time, an ironic peep at 'the cloistered world of comedy'.
And, if you were thinking that we were going to tell you what that joke was, you were completely off track. We're no fun spoilers; if we managed to arouse your interest, make sure you stay tuned on HBO on July 26, at 10 P.M.
