Working as a Paparazzo Is Disgusting, Miley Cyrus Says

Miley Cyrus is a successful singer, actress and songwriter and, at the same time, one of the biggest stars Disney has ever helped create. As such, it’s only normal that she’s always in the media, grabbing the headlines and being photographed whenever she steps out in public. Still, that doesn’t mean that Miley too is OK with this much media attention, saying in a recent Tweet (via GossipRocks) that being a pap is the most disgusting profession she can think of.

The star is usually very friendly to the paparazzi, even if she rarely answers the many questions they have prepared for her. She does not, however, show them the finger or refuse to have her picture taken, but instead stops, does the peace sign, smiles and only afterwards walks away. Probably because of this, many believed that she was happy with getting so much attention and even that she was at her best when surrounded by the paparazzi.

Not quite so, Miley says on her Twitter page. “Being a paparazzi is the most DISGUISTING job imaginable. Being followed around by creepy photographers is NOT in the job description! YOU try being stuck inside cuz creepers are waiting for u. [sic]” Miley wrote. It’s not yet known whether a certain encounter contributed to her message or whether this is how she truly feels, but some seem to believe it’s the former and that the singer had a fallout with a pap and is lashing out against all for this sole reason.

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton, for one, has been long saying that, when the going gets tough, Miley resorts to the paparazzi for a little extra publicity. That is to say that, whenever her camp thinks the media is losing interest in her and she has a material or a product coming out, Miley is asked to go out and run some errands, while the paparazzi are directly notified of her whereabouts so that they can go and take her picture. In all fairness, the practice is very common with some Hollywood stars.

Still, Miley insists she doesn’t feel that way. “I have nightmares about paparazzi. I always have these flashing things in my dreams. They’re so scary.” the singer was saying a while back about the screaming crowd that always welcomed her wherever she might go.
