A new flavor of Wordament is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone 8 devices, namely version 2.6.1.0.

The new application release comes with some appealing enhancements inside, the most important of them being the inclusion of native support for Windows Phone 8 devices and resolutions.

Previously, the game was available with native support for Windows Phone 7, which meant compatibility with some Windows Phone 8 devices, but not with all of them.

The new iteration of the title is meant to address that, and comes with full support for handsets such as HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 1020.

In addition to this improvement on Windows Phone 8 devices, the updated version of Wordament comes with a patch that should enable users to connect with the Xbox service easier than before.

This means that those who previously had issues accessing Wordament due to lack of connectivity should no longer experience them.

Furthermore, the updated software comes with new support for more languages packed inside, including Norwegian and Turkish.

“We launched Danish a while back and we heard from a number of users that Norwegian support would be great–we listened,” Team Wordament notes in a blog post.

They also note that there might be a series of issues with the Norwegian content available in the game, and that users are encouraged to provide feedback in case they encounter such problems.

“For Turkish, we enlisted the help of some colleagues in Microsoft Research to help clean up our lexicon, but, as with all of our non-English languages we have limited native language comprehension. So, just as with Norwegian, please feel free to give us feedback,” the team also notes.

Those who would like to get a taste of the enhancements included in the new version of the game can download Wordament 2.6.1.0 for Windows Phone 8 from Softpedia today.
