14 DAY TRIAL // The open source WordPress software, the most successful blog tool in its category, has received more updates for Android and Blackberry devices. The company developing the application has announced that version 1.3 is now rolling out and can be downloaded from Android Market and Blackberry App World, respectively. WordPress 1.3 has new hot features, such as rich text editing and updated new stats.
WordPress for Android received major updates like: View Stats on the Go (You can now view your blog’s stats right from your phone); Moderate Multiple Comments at Once (Simply click the checkbox next to the comments you want to moderate followed by the status button that you want to apply); Stylize Your Text with the Visual Editor (You can now create your posts with stylized text using the new visual editor). It also includes lots of small enhancements and bug fixes, including better video embedding and resizing, new tab icons, and a redesigned post writing screen.
For those using a Blackberry device, the fresh WordPress version brings: option to load more comments, not just the latest 100; ability to load comments by status (all/spam/pendings); you can now edit the comment details (Author Name/E-mail/URL); option to manually set the video-size when using VideoPress service; a much requested formatting toolbar that allows you to bold text for example; a new word count feature is shown on the post/page write screen; you can now submit bug reports and feedback from within the app; multiple improvement to how Stats are handled; improvements on the photo resizing options and a new jpeg encoder is now being used.
Furthermore, the application currently supports 11 languages: English, Italian, Finnish, French, Korean, Indonesian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish and Colombian Spanish.
