The guys over at Automattic have just delivered a small update to their WordPress application for Android devices.

The most important change seems to be the addition of improved HTTPS connection support. Aside from that, developers also claim they have fixed Quick Photo rotation issue on Android devices that run Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface.

Last but not least, devs have confirmed that the application’s UI has “suffered” small visual changes, but other than that, there’s nothing that could change users’ overall experience.

Users should keep in mind that WordPress for Android supports both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress 3.0 and blogs.

The new WordPress 2.2.6 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
