Some of the standard causes of complaint for smartphones and tablets users are the short battery life cycle and the lengthy period of time it takes for devices to re-charge.

So when somebody announces it has come up with the “world’s fastest” docking stations, naturally everybody will be paying attention. That’s exactly what Dittrich California has set out to do with its new All-Dock.

The new invention is capable of charging not one device, but up to four or six (depends on what option you go for). Dittrich says the dock is capable of refilling your device to up to 80% in under an hour. This is possible because the system supplies 2,400 mA to each USB port.

Another tweak is that the product doesn't have dedicated ports for particular devices, but a series of slots capable of welcoming any device, from smartphones to tablets.

The dock embeds a USB hub which accommodates the charging cables for the devices being powered. Further-on, users can feed the cables through the dock, in order to plug their devices into them. Customers will be faced with a choice of dock size, the smallest being 8.7 x 4.4 x 2.4 inch / 220 x 113 x 61 mm and has four USB ports.

The medium option is 8.7 x 5.6 x 2.4 inches / 220 x 142 x 61 mm and also has four USB ports. Last but not least, the largest option is 12.4 x 6.8 x 2.5 inches / 315 x 173 x 64 mm and has six USB ports, thus being able to charge up to six different devices.

Pretty much everything is being hidden under the dock so the charging accessory has a very neat, clean look. Normally when envisioning six devices charging, you imagine a clutter of cables, but the All-Dock manages to keep everything neat.

The All-Dock is currently a Kickstarter project seeking funding, with a goal set to $40,000 / €29,226. If you want to pitch in, you should know you have only a week left to do so, with the small units costing $59 / €43, the medium one $89 / €65, while the large one priced at $119 / €87.
