Some new Word of Warcraft content has come our way, namely the 2.0.1 patch. Once you install this patch, you will notice some
important changes in your World of Wacraft game. The patch will take up some 438 MB of you space, but I guess its worth it as it will improve your game significantly.
I won't leave you hanging, so I'll reveal what this patch does exactly. First of all, in-game pets will now receive a percentage of their master's armor, spell resistance, stamina and spell damage. Secondly, low-level spells cast by high-level players will receive smaller bonuses from +healing and +spell damage. HoTs, DoTs and channeled spells have been tampered with to receive a higher percentage of +spell damage and +healing. If you want for more than one druid to cast the rejuvenation spell on a single target, you can do that now, because HoTs from different sources will stack.
On top of this, the Weapon Skill system has been improved to such an extent that it will no longer reduce the percentage of damage, due to glancing. Players will now gain 0.1 percent to their critical strike rating per weapon skill against monsters above their level. There is also good news for
Macintosh users, as the Mac client now includes support for Multi-Threaded OpenGL on
Intel Macs running OS X 10.4.8 or higher.
When you cast a buff on a low level target, the appropriate rank of the buff will automatically be applied. In PvP, Crowd Control effects will last no longer than 12 seconds instead of the full duration. You will no longer lose faction when under the influence of Mind Control or the Gnomish Mind Control Cap.
