“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is currently under production and, because it will introduce the superheroes that will be part of the “Justice League” movie coming out in 2017, there’s a lot of interest in it. Finally, Warner Bros. is getting ready to launch the rival franchise to Marvel’s Avengers universe.

Starring Henry Cavill as Superman (reprising his role from “Man of Steel”), Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, “Dawn of Justice” will also mark the first time ever Wonder Woman is getting her chance to shine on the big screen.

Of all the superheroes out there, she is the one to have never gotten the big screen treatment, despite countless pleas and campaigns from fans to that effect. And, while the same fans might not agree with Warners’ choice of a leading actress (Gadot is mostly a model, by the way, and counts only a few appearances on the big screen), they’re still itching to know some details about the character before the first footage from the film arrives.

Speaking of which, there’s a lot of buzz online right now that Warners might screen footage from “Dawn of Justice” at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place next month.

JoBlo claims to have the first details on Wonder Woman’s suit so, if she doesn’t make the cut into the footage or Warners disappoints by not screening it at Comic-Con, at least we have that to go by until we get the first official look at the Amazon princess.

Apparently, earlier reports that she’ll be wearing a black jacket and leggings have not been accurate, because she’ll be donning a costume closer to the one we’ve already seen in the comics: that is to say, in the patriotic colors blue, red and white.

“This Wonder Woman is ripped right from the comics and has a ‘traditional, yet sleeker’ costume that’s ‘battle ready.’ She’ll have a blue leather skirt, silver-armored cuffs that reach to her elbows, golden tiara (with a design of some sort in the center, possibly the red star) and a variation of the traditional-looking red top (no word on additional armor on it),” JoBlo says.

“Her overall appearance is described as ‘Amazon warrior princess’ and definitely not an urban reimagining. She’s there to kick [butt] and that’s readily apparent. Word is that WB is getting a VERY positive response on her appearance to those they’ve shown it to,” adds the same media outlet.

Wonder Woman (who will appear in the film only as “Diane,” at least at first) will also have 4 weapons: the traditional lasso, a sword, a spear and a shield, which, when not in use, she will wear on her back like Captain America also does.

So basically fans should expect Snyder’s Wonder Woman to be a tribute to the Wonder Woman in the comics. However, you might want to imagine her a bit differently than that: just think of how Snyder reinvented Superman’s suit and Batman’s Batsuit, and you can tell he’ll do something similar to Wonder Woman.

Our guess is we should expect muted colors, very little flash (so probably some of the elements mentioned above, like the cuffs or the tiara, won’t appear) and costumes that render the impression of bulk, but fleshy at the same time.
