So, it must be true: women love chocolate!

God, this sounds funny... Women would be ready to disclose their passwords with the promise that they'll get a chocolate bar! Fortunately, it was only a research conducted by Infosecurity Europe over 576 office workers in UK. The ones who conducted the survey have set up a whole scenario: the employees who talked with the persons included in the research claimed they were marketing analysts, so they asked for all kinds of confidential information. The research revealed that 45 percent of women and 10 percent of men would disclose their password as part of a survey with the promise of receiving a chocolate bar, Infosecurity Europe reports.

Moreover, a different questionnaire which asked people their names and telephone numbers promised them that they could enter a draw for a trip to Paris. "Our researchers also asked for workers names and telephone numbers so that they could be entered into a draw to go to Paris, with this incentive 60% of men and 62% of women gave us their contact information," said Claire Sellick, Event Director, Infosecurity Europe.

"That promise of a trip could cost you dear, as once a criminal has your date of birth, name and phone number they are well on the way to carrying out more sophisticated social engineering attacks on you, such as pretending to be from your bank or phone company and extracting more valuable information that can be used in ID theft or fraud."

Another finding of the study also revealed that more than a half of the ones participating in the research admitted they're using the same password for multiple services, no matter if we're talking about office applications, bank accounts or web services.

So, most women would be ready to disclose their passwords for a simple chocolate bar. As I've said, that saying must be true: women really like chocolate... So do I, but I would never reveal my password for such a thing... I guess!
