Sheyla Hershey initially shot to fame for holding the world record for the largest breast implants. Later on, she grabbed headlines for having to remove them after a life-threatening infection. Now, she's almost back to what she deems “normal.”

As we also informed you late last year, Hershey had to go under the knife and have her immense implants removed after the 30th surgical intervention on them left her with a life-threatening infection.

Only a few months later, she was in a coma after a failed suicide attempt because she couldn't adjust to life without her 38MMM breasts.

Today, the Daily Mail informs, she's close to where she was a year ago, having just gotten implants.

In a new interview, Hershey says she felt as if she was missing a limb after doctors removed the implants. She couldn't imagine herself without them and couldn't deal with the sagging skin left where her implants had been.

“Not having my breasts was killing me, I didn't know if I could make it through 2012 without them. My breasts had become part of me and I was deformed without them. I felt like I had lost a leg,” Hershey says.

She underwent the more recent procedure without as much as telling her husband, because she was afraid he might try to prevent her from getting it.

She is happy with how it turned out, though.

“It is a miracle. I never thought I would have my breasts back again. I almost feel whole again,” Hershey explains.

She “almost” feels whole again because she couldn't get the exact same size for the implants: she's now a 38KKK and she thinks she's “small.”

“I was desperate to claim my status as having the world's largest breast implants. The size of my breasts is what fills my self esteem. I talked to my psychiatrist and I explained that if you lose something that you love it is natural to want them back,” she says, trying to justify her latest surgery.

So far, Sheyla's obsession with plastic surgery has cost her ₤60,000 ($92,994 / €70,290). She doesn't seem to plan on stopping anytime soon.
