Listen up, married ladies! If you want your marriage to last, you'd better figure out a way to grow a beard, and do it soon. Just check with your husband first and make sure that he is OK with it.

The reason we're bringing up beards as the key to a successful marriage is that, according to one 65-year-old woman living in the town of Turbat in southern Kazakhstan, they really are.

This woman, a photo of which is available next to this article, sports an impressive beard that measures approximately 8 inches (20 centimeters) in length. What's more, it's surprisingly thick.

Contrary to what some might assume, this 65-year-old woman is not alone in the world. On the contrary, she has been happily married for about 42 years, and says that her beard is the reason she and her husband are doing so great together.

A perfect and pretty unique match

The woman, named Mukhtabor Toraeva, met her husband some time before her beard started growing. Thus, the first unusual hairs popped up on her chin when she was about 25 years old, and already married.

However, he husband was never bothered by it. He never told her that she might want to shave it off, and instead supported her decision to simply let it grow. In fact, the 65-year-old says that, as shocking as this may sound, her husband actually loves and adores her beard.

“He loves it and we now have a son, a daughter, and six grandchildren,” Mukhtabor Toraeva told the press in a recent interview, as cited by Oddity Central. It is understood that her children are not bothered by the fact that she has a beard either.

Because of her beard, the woman is pretty popular in her hometown. She says that, rather than looking away from her, people often approach her and ask her if she would like to have her picture taken with them. Most of the time, she agrees.

Not the only one in her family

Interestingly enough, it looks like this woman's mother and her grandmother both have bears. However, they are not nearly as impressive as Mukhtabor Toraeva's. Thus, theirs only grew to measure about 6 inches (about 15 centimeters) in length.

“Although beards run on my side of the family, my daughter does not have one and although both my mother and grandmother have them, they are not as fine as mine,” 75-year-old Mukhtabor Toraeva told the press.

A lesson to learn?

Not too sound too corny or anything of the sorts, but this woman's story really does stand as proof that marital bliss is not about finding the one that others tell you is just perfect, but about finding the one that is right for you.

As women’s Rights campaigner Aisara Baiseitova put it, “It’s really impressive to see such a genuinely lovely person so happy with the ways she looks. There is so much pressure on women today to look glamorous, and to shave every part of their bodies. Seeing and listening to this woman should be inspirational to all.”
