User flopflopsandsocks' post identifies the location where this picture was taken as a Starbucks in Venice Beach, California.
There is no other context for the photo op, but it seems as though this was a deliberate fashion choice.
The birdcage is not empty, it holds the actual live bird, and I am guessing that holding the cage on your head can get quite messy. Some Redditors suggest that she might have been making a statement against animal cruelty.
I don't know what this lady was doing and why she would use the live bird as an accessory, but I do agree with one Reddit user named Trunks777 on this one.
"She must be a little 'cuckoo' in the head. Amiright?[sic]" he writes.
