For some reason, women are considered by some to be the weakest of the bunch. As it turns out, this is not the case. On the contrary, there are women in this world who are ready and willing to do things some wouldn't even think about doing.

Not to beat about the bush, the online community is now abuzz with the news about how, despite being in labor, a 29-year-old woman still managed to walk down the aisle, and even posed for a few photos before finally delivering her child.

The peculiar wedding ceremony took place just days ago in the UK. Interestingly enough, the pregnant woman was not even the bride. On the contrary, she was a bridesmaid. Simply put, she could have easily missed the ceremony.

According to Mirror, the wedding during which 29-year-old Lucy Morris walked down the aisle despite being very close to giving birth to her daughter was that of her sister, 26-year-old Emma Rotherhan, who married 27-year-old Dan Bowker.

Lucy Morris says that she was supposed to deliver her child about a week before the ceremony. However, things did not exactly go as planned. Thus, it was on the morning of the wedding day that the 29-year-old started experiencing contractions.

The woman maintains that the only reason she chose to keep the news that she was in labor from her sister was because she did not want to steal the spotlight and ruin her day. Thus, the woman pretended to be OK, and carried on with her duties as a bridesmaid.

“I wanted to watch my sister say 'I do' and I didn't want to steal the limelight by giving birth,” the 29-year-old mother, wife and primary school teacher explains her decision to remain quiet about her being in labor for the better part of her sister's wedding.

By the looks of it, Lucy Morris only announced that she was about to give birth and asked that she be taken to the hospital when the pain and the contractions got so intense that she could not stand going about business as usual any longer.

“I don't know how I made it through the ceremony, I was in agony,” Lucy Morris confesses. “I just kept praying my waters wouldn't break before they exchanged their vows,” the brave 29-year-old woman goes on to detail her experience as a bridesmaid in labor.

Lucy Morris' daughter, named Izzy, was born at the local Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Despite the odd circumstances in which she was born, the child is in perfectly good health, as is her mother.
