14 DAY TRIAL // Most of Jennifer Lawrence’s fans settle for buying tickets to her movies and tuning in to see her TV appearances and interviews. For Kitty, a 30-year-old mother, being a fan of the Oscar-winning actress also means having a perfect model for a complete makeover through plastic surgery.
Kitty is the mother of a 5-year-old girl and, while she knows the day would come when she’d regret spending so much money on herself than set up a college fund for her daughter, she sees her transformation as a form of self-empowerment.
Her case is featured on ABC’s plastic surgery special Makeovers with Plastic Surgery to Look Like a Celebrity, which is embedded below, at the end of this article. Besides Kitty, Rose too thought she looked like a celebrity, Michelle Rodriguez this time, and went under the knife to make the resemblance even more prominent.
However, unlike Rosie, Kitty went all out: Rosie got fat grafting to the face and face sculpting, which ultimately made her look even less like Rodriguez. Kitty, on the other hand, went under the knife for 6 full hours and got several invasive procedures, totaling a whopping $25,000 (€18,148). Luckily, she got a discount for agreeing to do the show.
Her husband wasn’t really that impressed with her plans, but he shrugged them off saying it was ultimately her choice. The money for the makeover came from what Kitty called a “me fund,” money she had saved from a previous job specifically for this.
“I can appreciate that her personality is spunky and fun. I can appreciate that her body is banging,” she says of Jennifer Lawrence, one of the most popular actresses of the moment. Dr. Franklin Rose, head of the Utopia Plastic Surgery in Houston, helped her get a body as banging as Lawrence’s.
For this kind of money, Kitty got liposuction to the face and the body (abdomen, thighs and backside, with Dr. Rose saying she had “a ton of fat” in those areas), breast augmentation (to a full C cup), a nose job, and fat grafts to the cheeks and the backside. In the end, Dr. Rose believed she was actually “prettier” than Lawrence because she had more definition and symmetry.
If we’re to be completely honest, whatever similarity there was between Kitty and Jennifer before is gone after the surgeries, so, if she really was going to make herself look like the Oscar-winning actress, that was $25K very badly spent.
