Earlier this month, two videos from a Tim McGraw concert emerged online, putting the country crooner in a rather negative light because it showed him slapping one female fan who had apparently latched onto his pants and was trying to pull him towards her.

The videos are still online, and you will find them embedded below. In the second one, you can see the woman’s head being thrown back from the force of the impact, so whatever she did must have really got McGraw cross to react this violently.

TMZ identifies her as Jesslyn Taylor. Even though she did not file a police complaint after she was slapped and she refused to address the controversy in any way right after the videos ended up on the net, she still thinks she’s entitled to something for getting hit.

So she is gearing up to sue the country singer, the same media outlet reports.

She hasn’t yet filed the papers, but the celebrity publication says that she has lawyered up and has contacted McGraw’s camp to open discussions on the possibility of avoiding a trial. By the looks of it, Taylor will either ask for money from the star or will file a personal injury lawsuit.

“Her lawyer, Eric Hertz – a Georgia personal injury attorney – tells TMZ his client was NOT trying to grab Tim's junk when he hauled off and slapped her. He says she was nothing more than an enthusiastic fan who was part of the show's ‘interactive environment’ and merely wanted a touch,” the e-zine writes.

“Hertz says Jesslyn is furious Tim's been slinging mud at her by claiming she was aggressive, trying to rip his jeans... and she was thrown out of the concert as a result. He says she feels humiliated and for starters wants an apology,” TMZ adds.

In the only interview on the topic, McGraw said he regretted his gesture but he did not think he could have done anything different in another similar situation. He told the press the fan was getting too frisky and aggressive, so he reacted out of instinct and slapped her to get her to let go of him.

He owned his share of the blame in the slapping but stressed that he wasn’t any more guilty of what had happened than the woman who crossed the line and grabbed him by the pants, ripping them as she tried to pull him to her.

Apparently, Taylor will have us believe she was never as aggressive as McGraw made it sound, and that she had merely touched him on the leg when he overreacted by getting violent with her. Unfortunately, the police are siding with him, saying his gesture was in self-defense.
