A Peruvian author who now lives in New Jersey, US, is convinced that “Frozen” is based on her semi-autobiographical book, “Yearnings of the Heart.”

Hence her decision to file a lawsuit against Disney, and demand that the corporation pay her a whopping $250 million (€194 million).

This book was published back in 2010. It tells the tale of the woman's birth in the Andean Mountains, her surviving the 1970 Huaraz earthquake, and also references the death of her sister.

By the looks of it, a love story between the heroine and some guy named Eduardo is part of the package deal, Mirror informs. Still, there is no talk of magic in this book.

“This is a compelling, introspective account of the life of Isabella Tanikumi, who takes her readers on a journey through various phases of her remarkable life- from her family’s survival during the devastating earthquake of 1970 in Huaraz, Peru, to the trials of overcoming heartbreaks of her youth.”

“Conquering personal insecurities led to exploring the reaches of her intellect while facing the tragic, and untimely death of her beloved sister, Laura,” the book's synopsis reads.

“Frozen,” on the other hand, is about two sisters, one of whom has magical powers, trolls, a talking snowman and plunging the entire world in eternal winter.

Because there's a lot of talk about cold and ice and winter in this movie, many think it to be based on Hans Christian Andersen's “The Snow Queen.”

For the time being, information on how and why Peruvian author Isabella Tanikumi ended up thinking that “Frozen” was based on her very real life story is fairly scarce. If you ask me, this lawsuit is no more and no less than a publicity stunt.
