Some men would pay an arm and a leg for a chance to kiss Hollywood stunner Charlize Theron. Unfortunately, none of them was present at a recent charity auction where, exasperated that the bidding had stalled, Theron offered a seven-second kiss to a male bidder. A woman risked it all and won, as Us Magazine – and photos recently released – can confirm.

“Last night, one lady got to plant one on Charlize Theron – for $140,000. Theron, 34, took part in a live auction during a gala for the charity OneXOne in San Francisco Thurs. Oct. 22. And while she was initially selling a 2010 trip to South Africa that included World Cup tickets, a safari and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela, she raised the stakes when bidding stalled at $37,000, far below the $280,000 Jeremy Piven had just raised.” the publication says of the event.

When bidding stalled, Theron got upset that Piven would make more money than her, despite being a man – and not among the most attractive either, while we’re at it. So, in order to up the stakes, Theron put herself up for auction in the hope that, this way, she would manage to upstage Piven. She didn’t. But one lucky female attendee got to kiss her for 20 seconds, instead of the initially announced seven seconds because of the swine flu virus.

“For [expletive]’s sake! You can do better.” Theron told attendees when she saw bidding was not going higher. “There is no way I am leaving here with Jeremy Piven getting a higher bid. I’ve got [breasts] for God’s sake.” she added. One man offered to pay $135,000 for the seven-second kiss, but would not go any further even when Charlize assured him that, “This is high risk kissing!” This is when the woman upped the bid to $140,000, the magazine explains.

Putting kisses up for auction is no strange practice with celebrities, as you must know. In May this year, for instance, British heartthrob Robert Pattinson “sold” two pecks on the cheek for $25,000 each at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS banquet.
