22-year-old Brittoni from Toldeo, Ohio likes make-up a bit more than ordinary women do. What's more, she does not like applying it on her face as much as she likes gulping it down.

Thus, the woman says that she is addicted to eating eyeshadow, and that she has had this peculiar addiction for several years now.

Presently, Brittoni goes through some 15 to 20 compacts on a daily basis. She buys these odd treats from drugstores, and gives each and every one of them a try before she decides to actually purchase it.

“When I come into the store, I have to taste to make sure I bought the right one. If it's not the right kind and nobody seen me lick it, I will put it back,” Britonni details her make-up shopping habits.

“I don't want to get stuck with something I'm not going to eat or wear,” she offers as an explanation for why she has to taste the make-up before actually buying it.

The 22-year-old woman goes on to say that, although she does not make a rule out of it, she prefers to eat eyeshadow that is gray, white or brown.

Apparently, these types of eyeshadow taste somewhat better than the ones of a darker color.

According to Daily Mail, the woman has been addicted to eating make-up since she was about 9 years old. At that time, her mother allowed her to have some fun with whatever eyeshadow was in the house.

Brittoni says that she started eating the make-up because she felt that her doing so would make her beautiful from the inside out.

Dr. Jack Siebenaler, who has had the chance to examine the woman, says that this strange addiction of hers can one day killed her.

This is because the eyeshadow she is so fond of eating contains several harmful chemical compounds such as arsenic, cadmium, lead and nickel. These chemicals put Brittoni at risk of heart disease and cancer.

The story of how Brittoni became addicted to eating eyeshadow is detailed in an episode of “My Strange Addiction” that aired on TLC earlier this week.
