Cassandra Feuerstein has been arrested for a DUI

A woman is planning to sue the Skokie, Illinois police department after being badly injured during an incident that she describes as police brutality.

Cassandra Feuerstein was arrested for a DUI and pushed into a cell. During the incident, she hit her head on a slab of concrete.

*The incident has been captured on camera but user discretion is advised when playing the video, it contains shocking footage which may offend.

Feuerstein was first searched by a female officer until she was pushed in a cell by officer Michael Hart. Her lawyer Torreya Hamilton explains that she broke bones on her face. She needed reconstructive surgery and suffered serious injuries.

"She does nothing to justify what this male police officer does," Hamilton tells ABC.

City spokeswoman Ann Tennes states that the police station have placed the officer on desk duty and they are conducting an investigation.
