A 42-year-old woman named Jane Betts had the surprise of a lifetime when she bit into a piece of cheese only to find that somebody else's teeth had been there before.

Thus, the woman maintains that the piece of Wensleydale Jervaulx Blue she tried to eat had one tooth belonging to a yet-to-be-identified individual hidden inside it.

According to Mirror, 42-year-old Jane Betts got the Halloweenish piece of cheese from a Sainsbury's store in Cambridge, UK.

Talking to the press, a spokesperson for the restaurant chain explained that an investigation into this incident was ongoing, and that the origin of the tooth would hopefully soon be established.

Interestingly enough, Jane Betts says that, when she first laid eyes on the tooth, she assumed that it belonged to her. More precisely, she believed it to be a part of her dental work.

“This was extremely disturbing and even more so as I had just been to the dentist myself the day before. Because of this I thought a piece of my own dental work had come off; I was completely disgusted to find that it was in fact someone else's.”

“I was also very confused for several minutes as I searched my mouth and all my teeth looking for where the piece had come off. Now I just feel sick. It was a bizarre and truly horrible coincidence,” the woman said in a statement.
