Jacqui Moore and current boyfriend Curly: he did the tattoo that’s now covering her entire body

When she divorced her husband in 2003 and she went into a tattoo parlor to get a little something to celebrate her newfound freedom, Jacqui Moore probably had no idea she would end up covered in ink. Eight years later, she is.

Mother of two Moore, 41, has 85 percent of her body covered in tattoos, with just one armpit, a portion of the leg and, of course, her face left untouched.

The tattoo artist who worked on her is her current boyfriend – they fell in love when she went into his shop to get a small tattoo to celebrate her divorcee status, Moore says for The Sun.

Eight years later, he’s covered his body in a giant black and grey piece, and, from what she’s saying, she’s still a work in progress.

“I went to get a new tattoo to symbolize my freedom and the new chapter in my life. When I got to the parlor I met Curly and we fell in love and he has been tattooing me since,” Moore reveals for the British tab.

She’s been getting looks for years and even her children are not that happy about the extensive tattoo she ended up getting, but Moore is proud: she sees it as a work of art and a symbol of her and Curly’s love.

“Lots of people treat me differently. Some are very nice while I get a lot of funny looks from other people. Some people even tell me I look disgusting,” she says.

Even her eldest daughter Kristi, who is 21, has let her know that she’s not happy with how she looks but, Moore underlines, since Kristi too has two tatts herself, it’s not like she can be too critical.

“But I am proud of my body, I see it as a work of art. I love seeing my body change every time Curly tattoos me. It’s an incredible journey of self-discovery,” Moore goes on to say.

“My employers respect my art and are happy for me to continue with my project,” she adds.

In the same interview, Moore reveals Curly did not charge her for the tattoo that is now covering her body, despite working on it for hours on end. If he did, he would now have been richer by £13,440.
