14 DAY TRIAL // Three men living in the Philippines risk spending several years behind bars if found guilty of having killed their own mother and eating some of her internal organs. The murder is said to have taken place last week, and is now making headlines.
Thus, it was on Wednesday when the woman's body was found by police officers who decided to pay the family a home visit after neighbors complained about hearing some really weird noises coming from inside the house.
Upon entering Musala Amil's home, the officers stumbled upon the 56-year-old woman's lifeless body, Opposing Views reports.
They quickly realized that the corpse had been mutilated, and did not delay taking Musala Amil's three sons into custody.
Doctors were also called at the scene, and they said that, by the time the body was found, it had been drained of almost all its blood. Besides, some of the woman's internal organs were found to be missing.
The same source tells us that, according to evidence at hand, the woman was killed by her own three sons, i.e. Dante, 35, Paroy, 21, and Ibrahim, 18.
What's more, these men are believed to also be responsible for the mutilation that occurred after the 56-year-old had passed away.
Despite the fact that they have been accused with murder, Dante, Paroy, and Ibrahim deny that they ever wanted to harm their mother.
On the contrary, they maintain that they merely wanted to chase away an evil spirit that had taken hold of the woman, and are therefore innocent.
Interestingly enough, other people living in the village of Ampatuan seem to also think that the woman's family is a cursed one, and that this explains the entire affair.
As a local Municipal Councilor named Anwar Emblawa put it, “There is an old story about a curse and these three men, according to local folks, belong to a family from a cursed ancestry, from where came these ghouls.”
The three men are now expected to undergo a drug test, and police officers are also trying to determine whether or not the family has a history of mental illness.
Hopefully, they will soon be able to determine what caused Dante, Paroy, and Ibrahim to kill their mother and consume parts of her body.
