This year's Bisbee’s Black & Blue Marlin Tournament at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico made one woman a millionaire.

Martha McNabb bagged a giant marlin on Friday, even though she only came in second.

Grind TV reports that the first place has been awarded to Linda Williams, catching a 774-pound (350-kg) blue marlin. Williams made a $368,675 (€270K) profit.

“I think this week we showed what lady anglers can do. We can compete on this level without question,” she says.

However, McNabb's team also entered several side jackpots. Their 525-pound (240-kg) marlin has brought them $1,185,862 (€860K). They managed to bring it in just 10 minutes before the end of the competition.

McNabb has been accompanied by skipper, Kevin Pahl, and crewmen Antonio Zuniga Ruiz, David Reed, Craig Pani, and Jan Howard.
