Just yesterday, at about 6 in the afternoon local time, a Jeep more or less willingly went for a swim in a pool in the city of Lakewood in Ohio, US.

Apparently, the vehicle ended up taking a rather unexpected and totally uncalled for bath after the 46-year-old woman driving it lost control of the wheel and crashed through a fence.

Presumably because her breaks failed to work, the unlucky driver, together with her Jeep, eventually landed in the pool of an apartment complex, Daily Mail informs.

At the time the accident occurred, a group of people were hanging out right next to the pool. Neither of these party-goers was hit by the Jeep as the vehicle worked its way through the fence and into the water.

In fact, it was one of the people attending the part, 27-year-old Christopher Sanford, who managed to remove the 46-year-old's seat belt and pull her out of the water just in time to save her life.

By the looks of it, the woman suffered minor injuries. She was nonetheless taken to a local hospital just to make sure that she was alright. The Jeep, on the other hand, was pulled out of the water using a crane.

Although this incident did not lead to any serious injuries, Christopher Sanford and other party-goers admit that, when they saw the car go flying through the air and landing in the pool, they pretty much freaked out.

“If there wasn't a pool here, there'd be bodies. I'm lucky to be alive. I'm just glad no one got badly hurt,” added another witness by the name Trent Wilson.

Following this incident, the woman, whose identity is still a mystery, was charged with reckless driving and operating a vehicle impaired. It is unclear whether or not she will be made to spend some time in jail.
