14 DAY TRIAL // Computational knowledge engine WolframAlpha is now fully compatible with the iPhone 5 and iOS 6, the latest major version of Apple’s mobile operating system powering iDevices worldwide.
Displaying in full-screen on iPhone 5 handsets, the WolframAlpha UI now stretches across 1136x640 pixels which translates into more knowledge for you with less scrolling.
The official WolframAlpha app is also compatible with iOS 6 now, though you’re not actually required to install the latest and greatest iOS to use the service. It only needs iOS 4.3 to run, and it’s compatible with pretty much all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models (except for the first-generation iPhone).
The Wolfram|Alpha Pro capabilities, including file upload and personal analytics, are not available through this app. Wolfram Alpha LLC indicates that these features will make their way into the app some time in the future. The makers call it “the world's definitive source for instant expert knowledge and computation.”
