Bethesda and MachineGames have confirmed that they've decided to bring forward the release date of Wolfenstein: The New Order in territories outside of North America, like Europe or Asia, as the title is now set to debut on May 20 worldwide.

Wolfenstein: The New Order will launch later this spring and promises to deliver a great single-player first-person shooter experience based on the famous franchise but with a bold new premise, set in an alternate universe where the Nazis won World War 2.

After sharing a set of release dates a few weeks ago and confirming that those who pre-order the title will get invitations into the beta stage for the next Doom title, Bethesda and MachineGames have revealed a few changes.

More specifically, instead of having a staggered release around the world, hitting first North America on May 20 and then Europe and the rest of the world on May 23, the game's launch has been pushed forward in territories outside of the U.S. and Canada.

As such, Wolfenstein: The New Order has a global release date of May 20, when it will appear for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, according to CVG.

Expect to hear much more about the title as we get closer to its release.
